On this morning at Skaket Beach the sun was just beginning to create an alpen glow illuminating the sky and the fishing boat along the horizon during low tide. Rather than choosing panning, a technique that can create a soothing dreamy feeling, I chose an exposure to keep the fishing boat sharp and capturing the first blue light on the tidal flats and the rose colored sky that only lasted a few seconds.
